“They Just Weren’t Thinking”

The groups all gathered and a few are new. Newbies stand aside not knowing what to do.
Old friends talk with their comfort crews. The forgotten slip out feeling rather blue.
Newbies let me explain. "They really are nice people. They just forgot to think." No comfort to the newbies. Going, going, gone.
How can I make the "groupies" think? I feel it's all been said. There's still so many lonely people slipping out the doors. When will they see comfort's price is other's pain?
Have you looked outside your circle? Did you even take the time? Think people, think…
Repeat. Groups gathered, newbies stand aside, old friends with their comfort crews. Nice people forget to think. Newbies did the thinking and they won't be coming back. Time to pack. Heading down the road.
One more try. Repeat. Nice people didn't think. Newbies did the thinking and they won't be coming back. Time to pack. Hit the road. Nowhere good to go.
Don't want to tell another person, "they're really nice people, they just forgot to think." Doing my part. Can't cover the whole room. Newbies try to blend. It's not so fun to stand alone.
Walking up to one who's sitting all alone. Smiles as I greet. So rewarding. Can't get to all the others.
Don't want to leave this one alone.
Will you think? These newbies and I could really use a hand. It's real easy. Look around. Oh…a newbie you just found. You thought outside yourself and the ones you feel good to be around. Invisible now visible. Seen is such a magical thing.
People thought. Newbies felt the loving. They'll be back and more are coming!
