Priorities

Here's the verse that keeps me going on this homeschooling journey! "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" Mark 8:36

Use it to test your priorities: "For what will it profit a man if. ..." he can recite his multiplication tables in a

snap?, he can read above grade level?, he can

recite the pledge of allegiance, name all presidents, find any country on a map? - BUT lose his own soul?

It's easy in the hustle and bustle of homeschooling to forget to keep the main thing the main thing!

Academics are important but not if I must sacrifice my child's spiritual growth to get there.

Find peace in the fact that God is not looking for academic scholars he's looking for followers. At the end of the homeschooling journey my goal is for my children to know and follow after God!
