I love this- I'm a preschool teacher that didn't send my kids to preschool. I'm not knocking preschool, but this kind of one-on-one time is essential. Whatever your choice (preschool or no preschool) make time for sweet moments like these. Even the most loving of teachers can't realistically offer one on one time.
We all do what we feel is best for our kids and families. Every child and every family is unique.
I do get tired of people looking down on moms that choose to forgo preschool. Your children will not be forever behind because you chose to keep them home. Preschool may introduce the A, B, C's and 1,2, 3's but an abundance of learning happens from one-on-one time with mom. Research shows that young children learn best through hands on play.
Sometimes there is more than one acceptable way of doing things.
